Breven working against his opponent

Breven clearing the goal

Breven's first soccer game

Today Breven had his first soccer game and did great! He scored 3 of the team's 5 goals and told us this evening that scoring the goals was fun but his favorite part was helping his team mate Oliver get back to his feet after he had tripped. We are just a little proud of the guy!

Indonesia Trip

Brad just returned from 2 weeks in Jakarta, Indonesia where he trained with the Indonesian Marine Corps. Their hospitality was unmatched! As you can see from the few pictures Brad posted, they put on a good show for their visitors! Brad is really happy to be back in Okinawa with his family, recognizable food, and sleeping in his own bed!

Handling the King Cobra

An Indonesian Marine handles the King Cobra. This picture was taken about 3 feet from the snake...as close as Brad is willing to get to a viper that can bring down an elephant!!!

King Cobra close up

An 8-9 foot King Cobra capable of killing a man in 10 minutes!
Brad holding a rat snake that was not poisonous but was not friendly either!!! It kept trying to bite him.

Cooked Cobra

Slightly charred cobra. The Indonesian Marines cooked it in an open fire and let us taste it. Big surprise...it tasted like chicken!

Back from Fuji

Brad returned from Camp Fuji last week and is enjoying going to basketball games, practices, and baby wrangling! The weather is a little more forgiving as well, it has been hitting the 70's during the day.
